Program opportunities

A variety of academic programs are available for motivated students who wish to go beyond the standard Biochemistry student.

Several courses in the Biochemistry curriculum are available to students participating in the Honors Program.

Students may also earn both a Biochemistry BS and a graduate degree in the Biochemistry PlusOne Program. Academically strong students interested in working in the Biotechnology industry begin earning a professional master’s (PSM) in Biotechnology beginning in their fifth semester while completing their bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. This is achieved by “double counting” up to 17 graduate credits towards both the graduate and undergraduate degree requirements.

Biochemistry majors may take advantage of The Office of International Study Programs at Northeastern University, which provides high-quality opportunities to study abroad and develop the knowledge, skills and networks needed to become productive and successful participants in the global community.
