Maintaining the world’s most innovative cooperative education program—one that, each year, sends up to 6,000 students to co-op positions around the globe—requires a high level of dedicated resources. Northeastern needs to provide the proper support for students, nurture fruitful partnerships with employers, and sustain the quality and diversity of co-op opportunities.

There are a variety of ways that you can help the University ensure that future generations of Huskies benefit from the same great co-op opportunities that you enjoyed. Check out some of the following to see where you can make a difference:

Student Scholarships

Scholarships connected to cooperative education can broaden co-op opportunities for students and reward outstanding achievement in co-op.

Assistance for Travel and Housing

Increased resources for co-ops outside the Boston region will help us maintain the quality and variety of co-op positions and expand international co-op, a key initiative of President Joseph Aoun.

Stipends for Unpaid Co-ops

Internships and unpaid co-op positions, which are often with start-up companies or smaller nonprofits, frequently provide students greater opportunities to explore their career interests and gives them greater responsibility, offering them leadership roles and taking ownership of projects.

In addition, these unpaid positions also support extensive research for cooperative education and experiential learning that help the University remain at the forefront of innovation.
